Norway

In March of 2023, I joined an AMC Adventure Travel group for an arctic excursion in Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. We spent a few nights in Oslo, a few nights on the mail boat cruising along the fjords and the Lofoten Islands. Then we flew to the Island of Svalbard, which is 79 degrees North latitude for several days. The highlight there was seeing the Northern Lights, snowshoeing, exploring an ice cave and dog sledding where we actually handled the sled! And YES, IT WAS COLD!
